Our Qualification Paper is devoted to the questions of Cognitive linguistics, Cultural Linguistics and Concept as a basic notion of Cognitive Linguistics and Cultural Linguistics. To study the concept from the point of view of Cognitive linguistics and Cultural linguistics is one of the most important, disputable and interesting problems of investigation in linguistics and we also decided to share our opinions on this matter.
The definition of lexical meaning has been attempted more then once in accordance with the main principles of F. de Saussure consider meaning to be the relation between the object or notion named, and the name itself. Descriptive linguistics of the Bloofieldian trend defines the meaning as the situation in which the word is uttered. Both ways of approach afford no possibility of a further investigation of semantic problems in strictly linguistic terms, and therefore, if taken as a basis for general linguistic theory, give no insight into the mechanism of meaning.
The qualification paper under review deals with the study of selecting materials for teaching vocabulary at the secondary schools. It presents a certain interest both for theoretical investigation and for practical language to the principles of teaching in primary classes of English language and on the other hand by the absence of widely approved principles of teaching English in our republic.
The Topicality of this graduation paper is represented by the fact that ways of using TPR through coordination of language and physical movement is one of the most effective ways of teaching young learners. There are many researches on this field, but the emphasis on comprehension and the use of physical actions to teach a foreign language at an introductory level has not been sufficiently investigated within new approaches. The actuality of the work is that there appeared opportunity to study several foreign languages with the help of independence. As the president Islam Karimov said: “At present great importance is attached to the study and teaching of foreign languages. No doubt, it happens not without purpose. Today the importance of our people’s perfect knowledge of foreign languages can scarcely be exaggerated as our country aspires to win a decent place in the world community, because our people see their great future as a life in mutual accord and cooperation with their foreign partners.”1 So, we have opportunity to know each language and the pronunciation of that language which we need and go abroad. If you know some foreign language you can pronounce its words as native speakers.
Theoretical and practical significance of this paper is that it will be useful both to teachers, and to students. In teaching activity it can be applied in studying of such courses as practical course of translation, theoretical course of translation, practicum on culture of speech communication, etc. The analysis made in this diploma work will help to predict mistakes while speaking, will help to practical exercises for development of skills of linguistics
The qualification paper deals with the study of the pragmalinguistic aspect of Direct Address in Teaching English to B2 level students according to the classification of CEFR. This presents a certain interest both for theoretical investigation and for practical usage. We have the full basis to approve that many linguists have brought the invaluable contribution to studying various properties of the pragmalinguistic aspect of direct address. They have created necessary theoretical preconditions for describing the pragmalinguistic aspect of Direct Address.
