The dissertation consists of introduction, three chapters, general conclusion, summary, glossary and the list of used literature. The first chapter is dedicated to the morphological structure of words, types of morphemes and the general view of the ways of word formation in English and Uzbek. The second chapter clears English and Uzbek derivational suffixes are subjected to comparison. This chapter also describes the derivation of suffixes in the parts of speech.
