The article deals with the problems o f a study o f prepositions in English. Main attention is paid to the preposition "of" which is accepted as the preposition o f possession. The problem analyzed in the article is very important and actual because even advanced learners of English find prepositions difficult. Explaining prepositions can seem complicated, but they are a common part o f language and most o f us use them naturally without even thinking about it.
