The purpose of this diploma work is to define discourse analysis, to illustrate the difference between Written and Spoken discourse, to note different features of genres, to make reader aware of notion of genre in discourse, to make known features of Genres in Written discourse, to show effective ways and different approaches of teaching discourse, to express the problems of teaching discourse analysis in ESL classes, and to confirm the ways of teaching genres in discourse.
