Navoi State University of Mining and technologies is hosting the International Conference on “Integrated innovative development of Zarafshan region: achievements, challenges and prospects” on April 18-19, 2024. The conference has an explicit focus on the integrated development of the economy and the possibility of management of Zarafshan region as a large industrial and cultural center of the Republic of Uzbekistan which plays a tremendous role in its economic development. Moreover, it bridges practice and research with the aim to develop the scientific and technical potential of Zarafshan region, achieve progress in mutual cooperation with foreign scientists and experts from all over the world, lapse into comprehensive discussions of the achievements of foreign and Uzbek scientists in fundamental and applied research and new innovative developments, deal with topical issues of science and technology with the prominent experts and determine priorities and objectives within the cooperation. All through the conference it was planned to discuss a number of scientific advances, ideas and suggestions on various perspective directions of the region. The recommendations for enhancing and increasing the effectiveness of scientific research and innovation have been developed. More than 40 representatives of leading universities and companies from 8 countries, as well as more than 100 representatives of higher educational institutions, research institutes and companies from around the world took part in the conference with their investigations. The Conference and Programming Committee aims at further success to promote the organization and exchange of practice-based research on developmental issues sharing, construction and co-creation of insights and technology, knowledge and improved practice of different high-end technology within various fields such as geology, mining engineering, mineral processing, metallurgy, chemical technology, machine building engineering, power engineering, renewable energy, agriculture and ecology. Both research and practice are representing in this profound dialogue and exchange of information. Via this Conference Proceedings on Integrated innovative development of Zarafshan region: achievements, challenges and prospects want to encourage further connections between research and practice.
